Egg Lob
Objective Each team builds a device which will throw an egg (approx. 60g) as far as possible using only the energy which can be stored in two rubber bands (i.e. #73).
Purpose Gain experience in projectile motion , energy and collisions.
Participants Teams of up to four.
Materials Are left to the discretion of the participants.
Rules The egg may not be altered in any way and must survive the
lob unbroken.
Judging The team whose egg travels the greatest horizontal distance scores 100 points. Other teams lose 4 points for each centimeter less than the maximum distance.
