Symphonic Olympics
Objective Each team will design and fabricate one of each of the following: a stringed instrument, a wind instrument and a percussion instrument. The team as a trio will play a required short tune which will be provided on the day of the competition, together with an exhibition composition of their own choice.
Purpose To explore the joy of music and the science of sound.
Participants: Team of three.
Materials Left to the discretion of the participants.
Rules
  1. The playing time of the exhibition composition must not exceed 3 minutes.
  2. Time and space will be provided for each team to practice the short tune.
  3. Tuning forks or pitch pipes may be used.
