The Plane! The Plane!
Objective To construct an airplane
Purpose To demonstrate simple aerodynamics.
Participants Any number of individuals or teams.
Materials Balsa wood, sheet of paper; glue, scissors, buttons, tape, wire, standard rubber band, paper clips, beads, a stick
  1. Participants have one hour to construct an airplane from the materials.
  2. The plane's wingspan may not exceed 40 cm
Procedure The completed planes will be launched from a set position.
Judging The plane that travels the furthest and remains undamaged is the winner.
