Teeter Totter Tango
Objective To determine the mass of an object.
Purpose To investigate the physics of teeter-totters.
Participants Teams of up to four.
Materials Scales and teeter totter (both provided).
  1. Students are to determine the mass of an object on the end of a teeter totter.
  2. Students may move the fulcrum (pivot point) as needed.
  3. Students will be used as "masses" to balance the teeter totter, (sitting on the ends of the swing).
Judging Points will be given according to how close the team comes to the actual mass.
