Land Forms
Objective Students must construct a model of any geological feature of the earth e.g.. moraine, cirque, volcano, etc..
Purpose To learn about their chosen feature.
Participants Individuals or teams of two.
Materials No restrictions.
  1. The model must be large enough so that the geological feature is easily noticeable.
  2. The model must be labeled and bear the details of the scale used for construction.
  3. All materials must be supplied by the entrants and the model must be constructed prior to the day of the competition.

Models will be judged according to the following criteria:

  1. attention to detail
  2. accuracy of scale
  3. originality to design
  4. craftpersonship
