Space Glider
Objective To build a "Space Glider" which, when thrown from the top of a six-foot ladder will travel the greatest horizontal distance.
Purpose Teams of up to six.
Materials 1. One plastic garbage bag (66 cm x 91 cm).
2. From one to twenty-four (maximum) wooden paint stir sticks.
3. Glue and/or masking tape.

1. If a team of students brings a "Space Glider" to the competition, they will automatically earn ten of a possible twenty points.
2. All gliders will be launched by the same Science Olympics Committee team member.
3. Only the materials listed can be used to construct the glider.

Judging The glider travelling the greatest horizontal distance will be the winner.
