Tall Tower of Cards
Objective To build a free-standing structure in a one hour time limit, that will support a 200 g mass (unassisted) and
stand as high as possible from the floor.
Participants Teams of up to four.
Materials 25 sheets coloured bristol board, 21.6 X 28 cm, 15 straws, 2 metre of string, 25 sheets of white Bristol board, 21.6 X 28 cm, scissors, glue, 1 brush, newspaper, 5 sheets of (21.6 X 28 cm) size paper, 1-200 g weight and hanger.
  1. The finished structure must begin at floor level and can be constructed only from the items in the above list.
  2. Finished structures may be submitted to judges any time during the one hour time limit.
Judging The freestanding structure which supports the mass at the highest level above the floor at the time that it is submitted to the judges, will be the winner.
