What's Your Mass?
Objective To measure the mass of a heavy object i.e. model truck, motorcycle, car, etc....
Purpose To understand mass and weight.
Participants Teams of 3 - 5 people.
Materials 10 m of strong nylon rope, a strong plank 2m long, a pail of water, source of water, a ruler, basketball, paper, talcum powder, a large dowel (20 cm X 5 cm)
Rules The team must use the supplied apparatus to measure the mass of the object.
Judging Winner is the team with the most accurate result. Runners up lose 1 point for each kilogram error.
