Directions:

  • First year Physics labs are located one floor above the first year Chemistry labs.
  • Enter the Chemistry building as shown in UWO-MSA map.
  • Take the stairs on your right and go to the second floor.

    • Follow the map MSA-Physics Labs given above.

    Buy the first year physics laboratory manual package from the University bookstore

    There are three different first year physics laboratory manual packages.
    Physics 1301/1302, 1401/1402, 1501/1502 - These courses use the same lab manual package
    Physics 1028 and 1029 – These two courses use lab books

    Who takes the laboratory?

    Students from five different courses, Physics 1301/1302, 1401/1402, 1501/1502, 1028 and 1029 attend the First Year Physics Laboratory. Each course is divided into course sections and lab sections. For more information log in to lab WebCT.

    Laboratory Sub-Sections A, B and C

    Each laboratory section is further divided into three laboratory sub-sections, A, B and C. For example, the laboratory sub-sections for Physics 1301, course section-001 and lab section-003 are given as 1301-001-003-A, 1301-001-003-B and 1301-001-003-C. Lab sub-sections for all the first year courses will be posted on lab webCT soon after the paper add/drop is closed .

    The date of the first lab for your sub-section is given on lab WebCT.
