Important Note:

The first day of class, Monday, May 10, will have a lecture instead of a tutorial. Please come to the lecture location (PAB 137) at 9:30 am.

 

Course Goals:
  • to provide a background in physics suitable for further study in the sciences
  • to illustrate the importance of physics in modern technology and everyday life
  • to satisfy the requirement of a "full-year, laboratory-based course in physics" required by many professional schools
  • to provide a background in physics sufficient for entry into modules in the Dept. of Physics & Astronomy
